Double XP Event Coming To Call Of Duty: Black Ops Cold War & Warzone

Activision and Treyarch have revealed that there is a new double XP event coming to both Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and the standalone battle royale Warzone. The event will be part of the upcoming mid-season update unlocking more Season 2 content over the course of the weekend. We hope your schedules are clear!

Announced via the official Treyarch Twitter profile, we now know that there will be a three-day double XP event covering regular, Warzone and Battle Pass experience kicking off 10AM PT Friday, March 26 and lasting until 10AM PT Monday, March 29.

This is the perfect opportunity for you to get ahead with your Battle Pass progress and help you unlock those higher tiers if you haven't already. All of this is happening in preparation for the mid-season update set to drop sometime next week, which will bring a bunch of content announced for the Season 2 mid-season back when it launched - like that crossbow that was briefly and accidentally available. Additionally, Treyarch revealed that the timed mode Snipers Only Moshpit is making a return next Tuesday too!

TOP GAMEPLAY HIGHLIGHTS

We also expect some other additions from this update, like bringing the Sanatorium Fireteam map to Zombies Outbreak and ramping up the on-going Zombies event in Warzone which is ramping up in intensity, with in-game hints pointing towards an apocalyptic finale near the end of the season which might culminate in the reveal and introduction of an all new map for the battle royale.

Season 2 already packed a huge amount of content, bringing a wealth of new Zombies content alongside new Prestige levels, but we're not even half-way through. Keep an eye out for new weapons, operators and more becoming available next week - but for now, you ought to focus on blitzing through those Battle Pass tiers thanks to the double xp event.
