Season 3 Leaks Suggest Duos, Quads, More Coming To Call Of Duty: Warzone

Leaks have popped the lid of upcoming Call of Duty: Warzone content for Season 3.

A renowned leaker has posted the yield of their latest data mining endeavor on Reddit, detailing new content to be added to both Warzone and Modern Warfare whenever the next season begins.

Content shared by both games includes weapons and operators. The SKS semi-auto sniper rifle and the Renetti semi-auto 9mm pistol will be added to your arsenals, and players will be able to step into the shoes of Alex and Ronin.

Warzone exclusive content consists entirely of new playlists and modes, giving you additional ways to play the game alongside the existing Battle Royale, Solos and Plunder modes.

Coming are:

  1. Battle Royale Duos with 2 player teams
  2. Battle Royale Quads with 4 player teams
  3. Battle Royale High Action, which increases the frequency of circle collapses
  4. Battle Royale Shotty Snipers which disables loadout drops and only has shotgun and sniper rifle weapons available
  5. Battle Royale One-Shot where all headshots kill with one shot and loadout drops are disabled

Two additional playlists, Realism and Hardcore, were also listed but lack descriptions. Expect both to be more difficult than the default mode, likely adding hazards, removing respawning mechanics and incorporating other changes.

Modern Warfare is getting two new maps - Backlot and Village - and Creator Codes will let you support your preferred streamers, YouTubers and other content creators by identifying them with their unique code when making a real-money purchase. This doesn't increase the price of the item you buy, but Activision sends a cut to the creator whose code you used.

The leaks also appear to confirm that Modern Warfare 2 is getting remastered, albeit not as a separate game but as DLC for the Modern Warfare remake. This is bound to lead to some confusion, since Modern Warfare 2 is a sequel to Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, not this Modern Warfare.

We're looking forward to getting some official confirmation on this info, and wonder what the Realism and Hardcore modes will turn out to be like.
