Vanguard's May 10 patch fixes Operator audio, low-caliber mag buffs & Trophy System bug

Vanguard Season 3’s first official patch is live, bringing plenty of quality changes to the multiplayer side of things. The updates focus on Operator sound changes and giving low-caliber mags a buff to compete against high-caliber mags.

Silent Operators

The audio fixes were the highlights of this patch, which included the global fix for an annoying audio bug that always played at the beginning of matches. This audio bug was introduced with Season 2 reloaded. The noise resembled that of a cricket or clicking sound.

In addition, Operators will now make less noise when climbing, mantling, or landing. This allows players to perform stealthy plays much more easily.

Trophy System Fix

When you throw a melee Skal Crusher in Vanguard, it is intended to be picked up again to refill your throwable melee "ammo." However, if you threw a Trophy System, it destroyed the Skal Crusher, making it impossible to get it back in the game.

This has now been fixed. Throwing a Trophy System won’t destroy the Skal Crusher.

Bundles & Cosmetic Fixes

Gorenko Anti-Tank Rifle’s Lost Blood Blueprint bullet impact decal has been corrected.

A fix now allows for camos to be displayed on the Sledgehammer Junkyard Jet Blueprint.

Low-Caliber Mag Buffs

Ever since the release of Vanguard, low-caliber magazines have been overlooked due to the massive damage the high-caliber magazines provide. This patch helps buff the firepower of the low-caliber magazines, to compete with their high-caliber counterparts. The damage values of the magazines have been optimized to be the deadliest when shooting the head and the torso. Using low-caliber magazines will require you to shoot the upper body for maximum damage output.
