Players are infuriated as Infinity Ward refuses the classic mini-map

The first beta weekend of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 concludes with overwhelming feedback from the community.

The feedback has mostly been positive, except for a few major design changes for which Infinity Ward has received much criticism.

The map design choices are welcomed by both hardcore and casual fans. However, a few other changes disrupt the overall flow of the game in favor of the more "laid back" or "casual" players.

One of the highlights of the criticism is the absence of the classic mini-map that showed players on the map whenever they fired their weapon.

Unfortunately, in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, players are now hidden on the mini-map by default. Even if they shoot, they won't show up on the map, unless they use UAV.

Infinity Ward issued a blog post where they pretty much denied implementing any of the requested changes resulting in the community getting frustrated.

As of now, not many changes are expected, but we will have to wait and see as we wait for the second beta weekend scheduled to kick off on September 22, 2022, at 10 A.M PT.
